NAIAD Rigid Hull Inflatable Boat
The
NAIAD Rigid Hull Inflatable Boat (RHIB) is a hull concept designed by NAIAD Inflatables
Ltd. Of New Zealand, and licensed for manufacture by Textron Marine & Land
Systems, and is offered in both 11.8-meter and 10-meter configurations. Its rugged
aluminum construction, combined with a cutting-edge hull form and lightweight
drive train, enable superior performance in the harshest of operating conditions,
both in offshore and inland waterways.
The 11.8-meter RHIB is designed for coastal, riverine and special operations, including a wide spectrum of missions, from combat patrolling to interdiction. It is equipped with waterjets powered by twin 540-horsepower Cummins diesel engines, providing fast, smooth and reliable power, even in rough seas.
The 10-meter RHIB features a unique stepped-hull design and rugged, lightweight fendering system that creates an optimal combination of performance and durability customized for outboard motor propulsion. Designed for coastal, harbor, and inland waterway operations, the craft is able to function in a variety of roles that include high-speed maritime pursuit, search and rescue, routine search and seizure operations, and low-speed harbor patrol and loitering.
