SPOTLIGHT ON...Expanding the COMMANDO Vehicle Lineup

New vehicles meet marketplace needs


Our COMMANDO™ four-wheeled vehicles enable their operators across the globe to strike swiftly by delivering exceptional performance across the full spectrum of military operations. And now we’ve expanded our family of vehicles, adding a fourth tier, with a new line—COMMANDO Utility vehicles—and an important addition to our COMMANDO Select vehicles.

The new COMMANDO Select Mortar Vehicle meets the requirements of international combat units for a more operationally flexible and adaptable under-armor indirect fire capability. Our Mortar Vehicle is capable of firing up to 120mm mortars from a common mount, and stowing up to 82 rounds of high explosive, illumination and smoke rounds. The vehicle is also expandable to other fire control systems. Several other variants of our COMMANDO Select vehicles are currently being fielded in Afghanistan to support the Afghan National Army.

Our COMMANDO Utility line features the new the Baserunner, a 4x4 selectable gas/electric hybrid vehicle built to facilitate missions in forward and rear echelon operational environments. These vehicles perform demanding tasks with ease, allowing users to efficiently and safely complete tasks. In gas mode the Baserunner powers through rough terrain and adverse conditions while electric mode provides quiet vehicle operation.
